NOW IN PAPERBACK
Revised and Updated Edition GREEN TO GOLD: How Smart Companies Use Environmental Strategy to Innovate, Create Value, and Build Competitive Advantage
By Daniel C. Esty and Andrew S. Winston

Since it was published, Green to Gold has become the leading book on "green/sustainable business." Now available in paperback for the first time, GREEN TO GOLD: How Smart Companies Use Environmental Strategy to Innovate, Create Value, and Build Competitive Advantage explores and explains what every executive must know to manage the environmental challenges facing business and society.

As a Fortune 200 CEO recently said, "When things are this tight, people see that going green is about saving jobs and money - there's no better time to take action." Making business competitive in tough economic times requires new thinking. Green to Gold offers cutting-edge strategies and tools to help companies find their way in world of resource constraints and pressures from all sides. The authors, Dan Esty and Andrew Winston, base their work on extensive experience in business and policy, but also on hundreds of interviews with executives. The book focuses on innovation, execution, and making environmental thinking both a core business strategy and a driver of long-term growth. The authors have brought their message to hundreds of the world's largest companies, and many have made Green to Gold their template for going green.

Environmental pressures are here to stay, and executives need business-savvy advice on how to profit from them. The paperback edition includes a new preface on the forces driving business down a green path, a new section with frequently asked questions from executives around the world, and new and updated stories reflecting new realities throughout the book. Green to Gold includes stories of groundbreaking work from companies as varied as Toyota, Wal-Mart, BP, Nike, and IKEA. Green to Gold version 2.0 could not have come at a better time.
