Regulation and Competitiveness Project
This project provides an umbrella for a set of research efforts related to the competitiveness effects of variations in regulatory requirements across countries, especially environmental standards. Current work includes both theoretical and empirical exploration of the advantages and disadvantages of harmonizing standards and of various strategies for avoiding a regulatory "race toward the bottom" in environmental standard setting.
